The RL Pressing Mystery: Led Zeppelin II

One tiny “RL” mark turned an ordinary Led Zeppelin record into one of the most valuable rock pressings in collector history.

The initials “RL” in the dead wax are shorthand for mastering engineer Robert Ludwig, and for Led Zeppelin II collectors they signal a version famous for impact, energy, and lore.

The mystery endures because it rewards close inspection. A collector can hold two copies that look similar at first glance, then discover that a small inscription changes the entire market story.

Future expansion: add dead-wax photo guide, matrix examples, and condition notes.
